"Every Child Has the Right to Be Safe."
Safety is a fundamental human right, yet millions of children globally face threats from violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation every day. At the Dadoo Foundation, we are committed to creating safe environments where children can live, play, and grow without fear.
The Reality:
- Every five minutes, a child dies due to violence.
- Up to 1.5 billion children experience violence annually.
- Over 1 billion children live in conflict-affected regions.
- 33 million children are displaced, and 85 million are engaged in hazardous work.
Our Approach:
- Establish Child-Friendly Spaces where children can play, learn, and heal during crises.
- Reunite unaccompanied children with their families in emergency situations.
- Train social workers to provide emotional and psychological support to children and families.
- Advocate for progressive laws and policies to protect children’s rights and well-being.
Through education and empowerment, we also encourage children to lead the charge in advocating for their own safety. We actively support child-led initiatives, clubs, and activities that give children a voice in their communities.
Together, we can make the world a safer place for all children, ensuring they have the opportunity to flourish in peace.
