The Challenge:
- Over 250 million primary-aged children are not learning to read or write, even when attending school.
- 59 million children are out of school, with girls comprising more than half of this population.
- Emergencies and conflicts prevent 65 million children from accessing education.
Our Efforts:
- Remove barriers to education such as gender discrimination, financial challenges, and cultural stigmas.
- Support marginalized and at-risk children, including those affected by conflict, crises, or disabilities.
- Provide educational resources like textbooks, uniforms, and teacher training to improve learning outcomes.
- Focus on early childhood development and vocational training to equip children and youth with life skills.
